Invalid Kurt Ingston invites three (male) doctors to visit him at his home. His sister, Margaret, asks a (female) pyschiatrist to visit her. One by one, Kurt's guests and employees are murdered. Although the victims were strangled and have no open wounds drops of blood are found at every murder scene. When the murders take place out doors, the frogs become silent. Large, bare footprints are left near one of the bodies.
Bela Lugosi plays the butler Rolf, so the audience will think the butler did it. Lionel Atwill is a doctor but he's not mad and falls victim to the mysterious killer.
