wow, you really didn't like KING COBRA, did you? i haven't seen it, but making a movie about one of the slower snakes in the world was an interesting decision, that's for sure.
nice review. i was a bit let down when i first saw the trailer for this movie, since i thought it was going to be about a plesiosaur (not really done since CRATER LAKE MONSTER) but then it was only a croc.
looks like a fun movie. does this have one of those "hip" grannies in it? talk about an overused cliche by even then!

I posted a review for this film on Amazon, entitled "Lake Flaccid", so you can guess my feelings on it from that description. I felt the croc sfx were very good, but the lame story and irritating characters really dragged it to the mucky bottom of the lake.
It would've been fine had they concentrated on the monster. In particular, Oliver Platt's character annoyed me beyond belief. I wanted to slap the screen a minute after his arrival. Brendan Gleeson, who has been excellent before (Braveheart), was simply painful to watch. It seemed as if he was on the verge of having his head explode with each line delivered. For me, it was simply a case of saddling a cool giant monster premise with an awful story. Another stinker churned out from the Hollywood Machine.
