Oh his wedding night Paul Webster receives a telegram that causes him to disappear, leaving his wife Joyce to search for him. Finally she traces him to his Lousiana swamp home where a medical experiment has transformed him into an aligator-man.

Not as bad as it sounds. I bought the DVD for Lon Chaney Jr, who plays a druken, one-armed man with an irrational hatred of aligators (a result of losing his hand to one).

I have only seen a few minutes of this film, would like to see the whole thing...I have a Famous Monsters issue that goes into detail about the suit being glued onto the guy...it always looked like a tight arrangement, and that's because it wasn't even a slip-on costume...the dude was GLUED in, fer cryin' out loud!!! When I saw the pictures of the application process, I nearly flipped!

I've been on the fence about it for a while, almost bought it a few times. Sounds like it's worthwhile.

I recorded this off USA Network way back around 1987 (wasn't cable great then?). Fun movie. I love when mad Lon yells, "I'll never stop killin gators!", and "I'll kill ya gator-man! I'll kill ya like I would any 4-legged gator!!"
