There were supposed to have been 3 years between the destruction of the Dark in Jinzo Ningen Kikaida and the appearance of the Hakaida Squad in Kikaida-01.
How much time passed between the defeat of Gel Shocker, in Kamen Rider, and the appearance of Destron, in Kamen Rider V3?
How much time was supposed to have passed between the final battle in Akumaizer 3 and the merging of the Akumaizer 3 with three humans in Chôjin Bibyun?
In another forum its been said that 5 years passed between the defeat of Gorgom in Kamen Rider Black, and the appearance of Crisis Empire, in Kamen Rider Black RX. Is that correct?

Now that You brought up AKUMAIZA 3, another question occurs to me. It has to do with them merging with CHOJIN BIBYUN.
What I had always thought was that their re-birth as Bibyun had resulted from REINCARNATION. But your explanation gives a different description. It seems that A-3's merging with Bibyun is a process which was forced on Bibyun. That is...are the Bibyun unwilling participants who were coerced?
Because to me, Reincarnation would be much more acceptable because in Reincarnation there is NO forced coercion but rather is the result of decisions made willingly.
On the other hand, if it is a MERGING as you say, then it smacks of POSSESSION in which TWO souls share the same body. In science-fiction, it's also called SYMBIOSIS in which Two souls share a single body. In such cases, the "Guest" soul is generally DOMINANT over the other soul.
That reminds me of the DC superhero DOCTOR FATE. Whenever Kent Nelson wears the magical helmet of Nabu, Nabu's spirit completely takes over the soul of Nelson. That's why later in his career, Nelson modified the magic helmet so that it's now only HALF a mask, in order to reduce the amount of control that Nabu's spirit has over him.
The first episode I have of BIBYUN has No subtitles, so I don't know the nature of the AKUMAIZA Re-birth. Does Your tape have subtitles that can verify the nature of that Re-birth??

Merging was just my word for it. I'm not into eastern philosophies and didn't know what else to call it.
The Bibyun episodes I have do not have subtitles. I don't know why those particular 3 men were choosen. As far as I could tell they didn't object.

it's hard to tell, but given the 70s storytelling, Bibyun accepted the merging willingly, or at least the "spirit" of the originals- not their personalities but their fighting, or martial spirit.

That makes sense, because in the final episode they don't know what to do, they look into the sky at 3 stars (which apparently represent the Akumaizer 3) and ask for help. The stars give them the answer. When the final battle is over they've lost the ability to transform. Chôjin Bibyun, Chôjin Bashaan and Chôjin Zushiin are no longer needed. Tsukimura, Kei; Suga, Ichiro; and Watabe, Go return to their normal lives.
