What is this thing?

It's from Iron Man Tiger 7 episode 10. Japan Hero claims its a mushroom, but you can see that its not anything like a mushroom. Its actually some kind of egg laying burrowing creature, but what exactly it is supposed to be I can't make out, even after watching the episode.
