Just got this yesterday and so far it's very good. It's pretty faithful in spirit to nagai's manga(there's no nudity though) and Eriko Sato is not only cute and sexy, but she's really good in the role of all the various versions of Honey. She has a charming naivity as Honey Kisaragi and a deadly no-nonsense attitude as Cutie Honey( well, there's some nonsense-the movie's really funny actually). What I love most is instead of using CGI and wireworks MATRIX style, they use the CGI to make honey get into all those crazy anime poses when she jumps or dodges attacks and they frequently break into the kind of stylized backgrounds typically seen in anime-this is truly an anime brought to life! One thing that i find rather amusing is just like in US comic adaptations, the hero's costume is changed from the simple spandex one seen in the comic or cartoon to a more complex leather design. Still, Honey's looks more or less the same as it always has, it just has more details and fancy stuff on it. They even use alot of the original score from the 70s series ( rearranged of course and newly recorded)and the classic Cutie Honey theme song is there as well as the bizaare andcontagiously catchy "Papaya Pop" song from the 70s series. Highly recomended! Now I need to get a copy of the live action DevilMan movie. I can only dream of a big budget Mazinger movie like these being made!

I'd be glad to design one for you David, but my printer is dead unfortunately. I'll see what i can do, i can probably email you the design. I finished watching the movie and I loved it. It was a bit different than the manga and anime, of course being live action they couldn't have the gratuituous and often comical nudity, and the fights weren't bloody at all, but the action was great and comical at the same time, Eriko Sato was fantastic as Honey and the story had alot of heart and emotion to it. The music score was also a big plus using alot of themes from the original 70s series.I also liked Go Nagai's cameo. I wonder if the devilMan movie was this good? I have heard that it was not, but I need to see it myself.
