Just rented both of these Steve Wang directed films and they're not bad at all. The first one has a really odd assemblage of actors-Mark Hamill, Michael Barryman, Jimmy Walker(yup-Jimmy Walker),Jeffrey Combs and David Gale from the RE-ANIMATOR movies and Vivian Wu! The FX in both films are outstanding with some absolutely great monster suits. If these were done today they'd be 90% CGI and all stupid MATRIX style fights I'm sure! The first movie is a bit less serious than the second, which is alot more like the anime series the Guyver comes from, but I liked both movies alot. The girl in the second film,Kathy Christopherson, is also very pretty to say the least!
