A lonely youn author looks back at the joys and sorrows of his life, mostly sorrows, and unfairly blames himself for the sorrows his family and friends have suffered. The film alternates between scenes of the present and flashbacks to the past.
People seem to either love this film or hate it. I haven't read David Copperfield so I don't know how much this 2 hour film leaves off but I enjoyed Dicken's wonderful characters in it.
I found it on DVD for $1 plus tax. I think its more than worth it.
