This premiered yesterday on the WB cartoon time slot following the SPIDERMAN premiere with little fanfare.Liked it a helluva lot better than that poor excuse of a SPIDERMAN cartoon.
It starts out with Bats and Supes entering one of Toyman's hideouts.Sure enough Toyman sicks some of his toys on them [this is the version of Toyman seen in CHALLENGE OF THE SUPERFRIENDS] but they easily defeat his toys. Then some of Toyman's own bombs blow up on him creating a smoke screen. When the smoke clears Toyman is knocked out and Supes is gone. After the opening credits Flash and Green Arrow track Mirror Master to a fun house and after they defeat him some tanks blow up and again after the smoke clears Flash is gone.At the Batcave Arrow and Bats compare notes when Green Lantern and Manhunter appear claiming that Hawkman have also disappeared. They investigate the fun house and soon Lantern and the Martian Manhunter are shanghaied. So it's up to Batman Robin and the Green Arrow to save their superpowered friends!!!
This is a cool one hour episode of THE BATMAN and is apparantly the season finale, which ties into last year's season finale. It may also be the SERIES FINALE[!] since I don't see it listed again at tvguide.com!!!! It would be a shame if the series was cancelled. When it first came out I didn't like it but it grew on me.

Unfortunately this is the final episode of the series. I've liked the show since it started and it has gotten better every year. The show is being replaced by a new DC animated series that will have no connection to either The Batman series or the Bruce Timm series either-The Brave and the Bold, which will be like the comic and feature Bats teaming up with other heroes. Of course, this format is exactly what The Batman did for the whole last season already, but maybe this new series will feature some more obscure heroes like the Creeper or Metal Men. The Brave and the Bold comic is one of my favorites, especially when they used characters like Sgt Rock, Metal Men, Phantom Stranger, etc as a partner for Batman rather than one of the big name JL guys.
