Now this comes as a shock. Just reading over the obit, I didn't realize Bob Denver had several health problems over the past year. It's very sad news. Eventhough Bob Denver has passed on, Gilligan will continue to exist for many of us.

I guess I know what $1 DVD to watch tonight. Bob Denver: Rescue from Gilligan's Island (1978) / Wackiest Wagon Train In The West (1976). Wackiest Wagon Train In The West is a compilation of three episodes from Dusty's Trail.

Though I knew he'd been ill with cancer for some time, reading of Bob Denver's passing hurts. It's pretty sad watching ''GILLIGAN'S ISLAND'' now that Bob,Alan Hale Jr.,Jim Backus &Natalie Shaeffer are no longer with us.Rest In Peace,Bob;we can at least take comfort that millions of us fans will miss you.
Let our dichotomy begin.

According to the Internet Movie database it was Bob Denver who insisted that The Ballad of Gilligan's Island be rewritten to include the Professor and Mary Ann. Nice to know he was thinking of other cast members.
