Dagget is trying to get the oil in the Indian lands, but the Tiger Woman protects them. he hears from the Inter Ocean Oil Company that Allen Saunders is headed down there to find out what is going on with the oil (Dagget wants it for himself).
Dagget's plan to kill Saunders fails, but he meets up with Fletcher, who plans to help them make lots of money. he also knows the Tiger Woman is the daughter of Harrison Arnold, multi-millionaire that disappeared in the jungle. they are going to kill Tiger Woman and hire an inpersonator to get the fortune.
meanwhile, the Tiger Woman drops the thug they captured into a pit of fire. Saunders ponders why she would kill men after she gave them a solemn word to be able to pass through the jungle. he stops one of Dagget's men from whipping a Tiger Indian and a fight breaks out.
Saunders goes to explain what happened to the Tiger Woman. She then goes to check out his story and Dagget traps her. unfortunately, the drum message is misinterpreted and Saunders is going to be executed!
i guess this takes place in South America, or somewhere other than Africa. there don't seem to be Indians in Africa, not according to my research.

it's "Perils of the Darkest Jungle", not Africa, duh, David!
Tiger Woman races back in time to grab the rope and save Allen from certain death! Allen promises to help the Tribe against the eville white men.
Jose gets framed for the murder of one of Daggett's men, Bolton. it's a tricky legal trap. Allan plans to have Tiger Woman come back and vouch for Jose. Daggett is going to drop explosives on Allen when he drives past.
naturally this doesn't quite work out, and a gun battle breaks out. Allen uses his machine gun to cut some of the gunsels down, and then gets some talk from one. he heads out to rescue the Tiger Woman from Morgan.
when he gets there, a fist fight breaks out. while he's battling the thug, the rest of the gang is headed to the shack! while shooting at the thugs, Morgan plans to blow up the shack! the fuse is lit and the dynamite explodes!

Allan sees the dynomite and he and Tiger Woman escape just in time. Morgan (the lawyer) goes and plants a bug in the office, while pretending to be a friend.
Morgan tries to steal the map that night, and a fist fight breaks out. he manages to make off with it during the melee, leaving his poor thug to get stabbed!
Allen, Jose and the tribesman take the horses to catch Morgan before he leaves. Morgan and the gang take the high priest and the Tiger Woman as hostages, and want the key to the Cathedral of the Sky God.
Allen gets there, and a gun battle breaks out. Allen rescues Tiger Woman, but Morgan tries to batter the door down, which starts to loosen the stalactites, and they bury our heroes!
so far, the stunts and action scenes in this one are TOP NOTCH.

Allen does the old "open the door, the villains run through and get killed by the stalactites while the heroes escape" routine. they find out Morgan has left, and try to find out whereh his base is.
Tiger Woman finds his base, and dodges a hail of bullets to get to Allen. however, Morgan hears his plans and plants a trap of his own in Allen's office. it works! Tiger Woman gets knocked out in the fist fight (that woman is going to have a lot of concussions, i can tell) that ensues.
Allen sends Jose and Tiger Woman off to take the oil finder thingy to the tribe and Morgan's men give chase in another motor boat! the ensuing gun battle drives them over the falls!

it's the thugs boat that goes over, Tiger Woman is able to revive Jose and turn the boat around. Allen send Jose to the temple with the "petrometer" and Allen and the Tiger Woman return to get Morgan's man.
naturally, Morgan is there and they trap our heroes, but don't kill them. they want Allen to get the urn from the High Priest, so they can prove the Tiger Woman's identity.
Allen returns with the urn, and a fist fight breaks out. he beats up both thugs, then hides the urn in a saddle bag. he then finds the mine shaft and heads off to rescue the Tiger Woman. naturally a gunfight breaks out. Morgan manages to trap them on a rapidly plummeting elevator car!

the Tiger Woman comes to just in time to slow the car down and save Allan. Morgan cuts the power off so they can't follow him. Allan returns the urn to Ramgah, who won't open the urn.
Allan takes a list to Dagget's store, and tells him ALL of the plans (granted, unknowingly). they are going to replace Allan's men with their own and lead him into a trap. the trap doesn't work, so Morgan hides in the truck to finish Allan and the Tiger Woman
while Allan races to the rescue, Morgan and thug trap Jose and the Tiger Woman in th ecave with a roaring fire!

How's this one flowing for ya David? I just watched 4 eps of "Darkest Africa" in a row without brain damage. I think the thing that makes that possible is the fact that there haven't been any drawn out fist-fights yet.
As much as I like serials, I find most of the fist-fights to be boring. So Darkest Africa has actually been pretty entrancing since it's relying on story instead of fist-fights. Though some of the animal stuff like the lion fighting the tiger in the first episode was pretty disturbing.

i'm liking this one a lot, Linda is a babe. there's a fine line between the fights and the talking (in most movies as well)- you can't have either go on too long. this one has about two fight/action scenes per episode, and are all well done (not surprising, it IS a Republic serial (i think)), and the story moves ahead without extraneous subplots as well.
Allan arrives in time to extingush the fire and save Jose and the Tiger Woman. Allan takes Morgan and the man to have them charged with murder. the Tiger Woman wants to sacrifice them, but he overrules them.
Walton sends some men and they raid the construction camp. they free Morgan and capture the Tiger Woman. they are to wipe out the camp. Allan heads out alone to save the Tiger Woman!
the Tiger Woman escapes and puts out the fuse set to blow up the camp while Allan chases the thugs (he's on a horse, they are in a truck). he takes a shortcut and jumps onto the truck. he and Morgan have a fight while the warriors try to stop the truck. they shoot the driver with an arrow and the truck sails off a cliff!

both Allan and Morgan roll oout of the truck before it sails off the road. Dagget and his slimy lawyer plan to trap the Tiger Woman after she gives her complaint about Morgan.
a herd of thugs chase down the Tiger Woman and capture her.one of the commandant's men survives and tells Jose what has happened. Morgan escapes, and the villain is going to have the Tiger Woman pulled apart. her warrior cracks though, to save her.
Allan follows Morgan to the secret hideout, and a fight breaks out. Morgan throws a gun at Allan and it hits him in the face- i've never seen that happen before! Morgan takes off in the mine car, and knocks Allan out right before it sails out of the mine!

Allan jumps out of the cart well before the cart sails into out of the cave. later on, Allan, the Tiger Woman and Ramgah have a 'war council' and they are happy to hear Allan's news about getting them some firearms to fight Morgan's men.
Allan and Jose set out to hire some townsmen to help get through the jungle. Dagget overhears, and the thugs torture Captain Scott for information. Allan interupts the planned killing of Scott, and a gunfight breaks out. Allan shoots both men and saves Scott. he tells Allan Morgan is headed to the oil depot.
Morgan captures the Tiger Woman and tie her up. Allan saves her, but then a fistfight breaks out! the Tiger Woman gets knocked out again and in the speedboat, and Allan gives chase. the thug starts throwing dynamite at Allan's boat, but he gets shot and the unconscious Tiger Woman's boat heads straight for a large ferry and explodes when they hit!

the Tiger Wman wakes up in time to jump into Allan's boat before her boat strikes the ferry, probably killing all the men on it. Allan can't get more weapons before the contract runs out. he makes a plan with the Tiger Woman to trick Morgan and his men into leaving them alone.
the plan works, but the 'bug' overhears Allan's plan, and Morgan is going to blast the well out of existance. naturally, a fight breaks out, and Morgan is going to bomb the shed with everyone inside, his men included!
the bombs are dropping and the Tiger Woman is taking forever to get Jose's ropes off. Allan shoots the plane and it crashes into the house!

naturally our heroes run out minutes before the plane crashes into the shed.
Dagget is despondent about Allan being alive, but Walton tells him all can be saved by hijacking the final oi truck. Allan figures out they are "bugging" him and plans a trap a 4 PM.
it works! Allan traps two of Dagget's men, but a fistfight breaks out! the men get killed, but Allan spills the beans to the shyster. at the oil rig, a gun fight breaks out, and Allan gallops in to the rescue. during the melee, the Tiger Woman shows up, but Dagget pushes the plunger and the oil rig goes up! with Allan battling a thug on it!

Allan slides to safety right before Dagget pushes the plunger. even though the rig is destroyed the oil comes through. Allan goes to town to get the well registered, and leaves Dagget in with Jose.
Allan gets arrested for killing those two men of Dagget's, and the shyster volunteers to go to the oil well. he plans on an ambush. his men kill the troopers and go rescue Dagget. he tells the Tiger Woman to get the urn to to show the commandant.
Jose radios Allan and they figure out the Walton (the shyster) is the other leader of the gang, and Allan rides out to the rescue! the warriors attack the gang and a gunfight breaks out. Allan arrives and the final fistfight breaks out! the Tiger Woman opens the fiery trapdoor and the villains meet their just end.
the Sacred Urn is smashed open, and the Tiger Woman is found out to be Rita, the heiress. the Tiger Woman has a decision to make, but Jose thinks she will make up her mind quickly once she finds out Allan is going back to the States!
the end
this is a good serial, possibly one of the top 20. too bad The Tiger Woman doesn't get to actually fight too much. she does suffer a lot of knockouts in 12 chapters! but the last two chapters she's a spitfire.
the main question is why she is wearing leapard prints instead of tiger stripes, but in the outfit, who cares?
