The Cisco Kid (1950-1956)
based on stories by O Henry
starring Duncan Renaldo as Cisco Leo Carillo as Pancho
156 thirty minute episodes, first tv series filmed in color.
As they travel trough out the west the Cisco Kid and his long suffering sidekick Pancho stop to help pretty girls' in distress, usually gettting blamed for a murder and/or robberty they did not commit.
The Cisco Kid is known as fast draw and being good in a fist fight. Pancho is known for mangling English and reversing proverbs. For example he complains that Cisco keeps jumping out of the fire into the frying pan.
Poncho's black and white horse is called Diablo. Pancho's palomino is Loco.
Duncan Renaldo born on April 23, 1904 in Spain (maybe) died in Calfiornia on September 3, 1980 (lung cancer).
Leo Carrillo born on August 6, 1881 in LA died in Santa Monica on Septmber 10, 1961 (cancer).
The Cisco Kid is not as good as the Loan Ranger but its not bad, it's still a fun show.
The Cisco Kid Vol. 2 - $1 DVD
Convict Story Oil Land Chain Lightning Ghost Story
bonus cartoon Popye: Gopher Spinach
Contrary to popular belief (and IMdb listing) not every episode ended with "Oh, Pancho!" "Oh, Cisco". In fact only 1 of the 4 on this disc has such a scene.
I have not found a volume 1. In fact there are several old tv series on volume 2s for which I have not found a first volume.

i'd definately be interested in seeing some of these. how is the picture quality, the sound, etc? i don't expect new technology, but sometimes sound on DVDs like this can be very muffled.
that's one very successful show.
