All in all not too shabby. I have kind of decided to just take these cpmic inspired movies as they are instead of nitpicking all they got wrong. Chiklis(sp?, the dude who was on the TV show Commish) did a better than expected job as loveable ole blue eyes. Jessica Alba is nice eye candy, but she just seems to young to be playing someone in their late 30s.

just watched this DVD and enjoyed the movie a lot. it was frustrating though, since it could have been a lot better than it was. Johnny was too old, Reed was too young, Sue was too sexy and Ben should have had hair- the rest was OK. the stupid plot of having the villain's origin tied into the heroes has been overdone already. the Thing suit from the 90s movie looked better, but i liked Chiklis as an actor. the "team" cast had good chemistry, but since Johnny acted like a 16 year old he came across as far too unstable at whatever age he was. the costumes were nice- anything but black these days is good, though i would have liked to have seen the original suits. a decent movie, a witty script despite some stupid lines.

I'd have to agree with you David and RW Yajuta. I enjoyed the movie for what it was, not what it wasn't or what it got wrong. I liked how the made the Thing look a bit like the original Jack Kirby version and i also like Michael Chiklis as an actor. He was quite good as Curly in the Stooges biopic that's on AMC all the time. Making Dr Doom be living metal, i couldn't help thinking where's Magneto when you really need him?! Now having said that and seeing that 20th century Fox is the studio making all (or most)the Marvel movies, how long do you think it's going to be before we see a crossover movie? X-MEN VS THE FANTASTIC FOUR coming Summer 2008! ugh
