A rather dull TV movie about political corruption with a subplot of drug dealing. The incident is the abduction of a gangster by other gangsters who ultimatly kill him. William Shatner plays a city government official, head of the utilities department, who solicites a bribe to maker sure a construction company owned by a mob boss gets a $10 million dollar construction contract. At the same time as the invistagtion of politcal corruption is going on a new young prosecutor has to handle his first federal case prosecuting a maried man on a charge of trafficing in narcotics.
Available on a $1 DVD along with Pioneer Women. It may be worth a dollar to see what William Shatner was doing between Star Trek and T.J. Hooker. I like him better as murderers in episodes of Columbo than a corrupt public servant.
