Wolf Ruvinskis ... Neutron Armando Silvestre Rosa Arenas Julio Alemán ... Dr. Caronte Claudio Brook Ernesto Finance David Lama Rodolfo Landa Jack Taylor (as Grek Martin)
this is from the first one- NEUTRON AND THE BLACK MASK (1961) an obvious mistranslation of the original title.
this is a fun series, and the costume is cool. Neutron was never a luchador, he was a character made up for the movies. i think he made 5, and four were dubbed into English.
he's got a great foe, Dr. Caronte in at least three of the movies. i'm surprised these haven't shown up on Alpha yet...

Actually Armando Silvestre played the role of Dr Karonte my friend. And I do believe these aren't in public domain which might explain why they haven't shown up on bargain dvds.

Read some personal reviews of this series and it sounds like the first one is painful to get through and the second is really good, with the rest being fairly good.

Actually the first one is very good though it has more of a horror film feel to it as opposed to a Santo type film. Neutron does take a while to show up but that's because they are getting most of the plot out of the way since it would have to carry this and the next two films.

There is a wrestler with legal authorization to use the name and he is the one in the Mil movie though he rarely ever shows up in CMLL or in AAA. When he was in CMLL he worked undercard matches and lost alot. In other words a superstar he aint!

Thanks for the info!
Well I had a horror-lucha morning and watched Santo and Blue Demon vs the Monsters, Santo vs the Vampire Women and Neutron vs the Death Robots.
Neutron was neither "atomic" nor "super" in fact he seemed to fight no better than the average street Joe. But the movie was fairly entertaining.
Vs the Monsters was entertaining, silly fun but Vs the Vampire Women was really good. Looking forward to watching some of the other early-mid 60s Santo flicks!
