Downloaded this movie from the Prelinger Archive and watched it today. Sweden's first (and only) foray into the kaiju genre. I thought it was alright; it's bland, but acceptable. The main actress is easy on the eyes and the Yeti monster looks cool. But there's not enough plot, entertaining 50s science, or death and destruction to really satisfy. I think my version was cut, as I read of a racy shower scene and a scene that showed the aliens causing the death of one of the characters. Not as memorable and Denmark's Reptilicus or Journey to the Seventh Planet.

Perhaps you know it by the title of the English dub/edit/added narration version called "Invasion of the Animal Monster"?

i'd kind of like to see it- sounds interesting, anyway. i knew it had two different edits, so i'd like to see both. but it's not high on my priority list.

I believe "Something Weird" video offers a DVD that has both versions on it. I got the original version from the Movie Archive Website, which is just as well.
