It's about freakin time this movie came out on DVD!
I was surprised this didn't come out when Warner Brothers released "Gwangi" and "The Black Scorpion", but thankfully it's finally on it's way! (And in b/w to. Ray, please reconsider releasing your b/w movies in color!).

Is it crazy to hope there might be any type of extras?

i thought i had read there would be a commentary track, but i can't find it now. i hope there's a trailer, but as long as it's the uncut version i'll be happy.

Oh man, I'm so glad this is finally getting a dvd release!! I'm also very glad to see they are releasing ATTACK OF THE 50 FT WOMAN in this line as well! that is another film long overdue on disc!! I don't care for the "Campy Cult Classic" crap-well granted 50 ft Woman and Queen of Space are campy, but that label always rankles me, as alot of people enjoy the films for what they are regardless and don't want to make fun of them like MST3K . Behemoth used to air frequently on UHF ch23's Theater Bizarre(friday night triple feature) and the Saturday afternoon sci-fi/horror movie at 4pm. I've always liked the movie alot, it's one of my favorite monster on the loose movies.

I hd a VHS copy of this some time back, and the scene of the ferry being capsized was cut--a lot of people have complained about that. That scene NEEDS to be in this DVD...I'm anxious to check it out

the DVD looks great, and sounds good.
the commentary is done by Muren and Tippett. Beavis and Butthead would have been more entertaining. they come across as completely uninterested. a couple of tools, which is sad, since Muren can do good commentaries. they have done NO research about the actors or crew, and constantly refer to the movie as "boring".
and i like Dennis Muren, so this is wasted opportunity to do something interesting with a cool movie.

a nice shot from the movie. sometimes I wish that studios would have had some recurring monster hunter characters, seems like Gene Evans should have fought the monster that challenged the world.Attachments:

Good idea for a fan fiction, comic book, audio drama or something. Gene Evans, Crypto Hunter!
