My Brother took me to see this because he knows what a Jet Li nut I am. I liked it, and thought the action sequences were great. Woo-ping Yuen did a masterful job with the choreography. The fights looked stiff, believeable, and emitted many an "Oh Sh--!" from the crowd. I was a little disappointed, as I expected this movie to be credit to credit action. They seemed to focus on the story, but let me tell you, what fight scenes they had were off the hook. I found the plot to be pretty good, and thought Bob Haskins played the role of sleezoid quite well. I also thought Morgan Freeman did a good job as Sam. Bar none, this is the best of Jet's American films, and no wires in the fights makes me think many of you here would like them.

I finally got to watching this. It was an excellent film. It's character driven, but the major fight scenes were quite good. Jet gives his best physical performance since...Once Upon a Time in China and America at the very least and he shows that he can act quite well. Quite a departure from his "stoic tough guy" persona of his American films.
