good review (as always). almost makes me want to see this again.
almost.
perhaps i had seen one too many human yo-yo movies at this time, but i was not impressed with this one, despite Sammo being in it. there was one scene with some Drunken Tai Chi sword form being done that was interesting, but i barely remember the rest, just thought it was another COMET BUTTERFLY AND SWORD or similar.
but perhaps i was too hard on it. i did enjoy EAGLE SHOOTING HEROES, but that was a comedy.

I always liked this one pretty well.Sammo's fight choreography was good, both with wires&without(&I REALLY enjoyed his cameo...)Yeung Fan's character Wong made for an engaging lead,&that was indeed a HUGE honkin' sword he wielded!Ti Lung&Cynthia Khan playing off one another added to the movie's appeal;was sorta strange seeing Ti Lung in a mostly non-action role, but it's not surprising since ''BLADE OF FURY'' was made after his career rebounded in John Woo's shoot-'em-ups.Ngai Sing's drunken swordplay scene was a standout for me,as well.
Yat dan,yee lik,sam gung fu!
