Names like Dusty Rhodes, The Rock, Sting, Gioldberg, Curt Hennig, Jerry Lawler, Kevin Nash, and Bret Hart were names that I wish could have been inluded as well.

I think out of that list most people would pick Flair, but I'll go with Nick, because he's so underrated.

Kenta Kobashi, Toshiaki Kawada, Mitsuharu Misawa, Shinjiro Otahni, Keji Muto, Masato Tanaka, Ultimo Dragon, Jushin Liger, and Hayabusa were very damn good during their primes, I will definitely give you that. Heck, I think before the knee injuries Kobashi was the best wrestler on the planet, and even now he isn't bad. I would love to see him against Kurt Angle.

I guess talking the last 20 years leaves out Handsome Harley Race.

Like US wrestling each mexican wrestling promotion have their own champs though there are also some titles floating around from defunct American promotions from the 70's and 80's probably figuring they can't get sued since these promotions no longer exist. These titles have been around forever in Mexico. Some american champ would come to Mexico with a spare belt and drop it to a mexican and return home to the US where he would still be champion since no one back in those days followed the mexican stuff.

that is very interesting. good to know some US workers would help people get over in other countries, instead of the "me only" attitude so many seem to have these days.
i think we should do a "best of" champs poll, one for pre-Hogan era, one for the 80s-90s, and one in the "attitude" era.
Chad or Raul could set it up, that way we'd cover about 40 years.

Before Hogan came into his own I think Bob Backlund was one of the great Champs, simply because he was a really good athlete and had great charisma.
Now, greatest wrestler in general despite being a champ I'd always have to go with Mil Mascaras. For this generation? I just don't know. Seems like almost all wrestlers now are one-trick ponies or just have one gimmick going for them. Probably have to go with someone like Bret Hart just because he's very well-rounded in his skills.
