sorry, i have forgotten the actual title. i was at Bestbuy today and there were three volumes of this in the Spanish section, each about $12. they had a ton of matches with Konnan, Rey Misterio, Jr., Psicosis, La Parka. problem is they didn't give a date as to when said matches were. the only date is 2005 on the DVD box. sure looked cool though.

Well my best guess is this was sometime shortly after the demise of WCW as all four gents were parts of that promotion and when it folded and was bought up by WWE none of them was part of the initial transfer of talent to the WWE.Eventually only 3 or 4 people brought in for the INVASION storyline were kept around and Rey eventually went to the WWE remasked. But in that interval none of the four men was immediately hired by any big promotion either in the USA or in Mexico that had tv exposure.I can only assume these were shot either in the Tijuana area or Southern California area a few weeks after WCW shut down.As of this writing Konnan is doing double duty in Triple A in Mexico and in TNA while La Parka was forced by Triple A promoter to change his name to L.A. PARK when he showed up in rival CMLL arenas.Psicosis was also wrestling under a new name Nicho since like Parka he had problems with TRIPLE A who simply churned out new versions of these wrestlers. However the original Psicosis has wrestled indie shows in the USA as Psicosis and has been recently hired by WWE under the name Psicosis. It will be interesting how the brass at TRIPLE A take this though I doubt they have the moolah to try to sue Vince Mcmahon Jr.

they have a ton of guys on these cards, including Mil Mascaras on one of the DVDs. i may have to get one. Rey looks a lot smaller on the cover than he does on wwe tv, that's for sure. they are all wearing their masks, accept Konnan. he should at least ditch those ridiculous pants he's wearing these days though.

Then I think these were shot in Tijuana during the late eighties early nineties before Rey Misterio Jr,Parka and Psicosis became big name stars in Triple A which hadn't yet existed. It is curious to see that even though these guys were around BEFORE that promotion that promotion's owner had no qualms about claiming owner rights over their wrestling characters.I can only assume these morons signed away the rights to the characters just to get work. Not very smart on their part.
