I give it to Teddy. Here's why :
DiBiase was a great technical wrestler. Not just a good one, but a great one. He was also a master of ring psychology. He was equally adept at making people love him or hate him. And whatever he was trying to accomplish, he did it well. No one was more hated, or more loved, than Ted DiBiase, depending on the program he was in.
Ted had ALL of the tools to be a great NWA World champion. He could not only play both roles (or even a tweener), but he could make other wrestlers look good with his ability. I guess he just had the bad luck to reach his peak when others were dominating.
Did Ted ever get any extended run with the WWF belt, or was his only reign the Andre "buy-off?"

i went with Magnum- if not for that stupid crash, he would have been huge. can you imagine a series between him and Teddy?
Teddy also deserved a run with the title, no question. i think he and Doc were going to fued over the UWF title right before Crockett bought the fed. ah, shortsightedness...

I voted for Ted. He just fit that mold of World Champ in that he could have a great match with a wet paper sack. I could have seen JYD as a short term Champ during his white hot Midsouth days. I think Magnum would have gotten a run had it not been for that crash. I think Arn, Tully, Paul, and Nikta were all solid pros and you could make casees for all of them as well.
