The Congress Theater in association with Rocky Roman and Swat Cat
once again delivered another energetic and entertaining lucha libre
card.
The opening match had puertorican Dante Devil defeating Will Martel
in a one fall contest.
The second match had Angel Dorado and Angel de la Muerte winning
over Mascara de Jade and a new wreslter I unfortunately didn't get
the name.
In the third match Guerrerito del Futuro and his partners Payaso Coco
Verde and Payaso Coco Negro stole the victory[with a little help from
the refs]away from Swat Cat,Rayo Laser and another unidentifiable
wrestler who actually turned on Swat Cat and Rayo Laser.
Right before the start of the fourth match a minute of silence was
asked in memory of Eddie Guerrero.Instead of being silent the fans
began to chant EDDIE EDDIE for a good two minutes.
The fourth match had Mascara Sagrada and Atomo going up against
Aguila del America and Shamu Jr.Despite Sagrada's experience and
Atomo's great high flying moves the rudos stole the win.
The main event had Blue Demon Jr and Super Porky going up against
Satanico, fresh from a free haircut in Mexico[wonder who he lost his
hair to]and Villano Tercero. The tecnicos won the match and Super
Porky even invited some young tyke into the ring to shake their bon
bons after the second fall.
The next card at the Congress Theater is scheduled for January 20st
2006 and the names that were announced[though there isn't any
guarantee they'll all be there]were Mistico,Parka,Damian 666 and
Halloween.
I had a chance to hang out until everyone else had left and got to
chat with some of the stars.Super Porky complained about the cold
and I couldn't help tell him we were enjoying spring like weather in
the last week of November.[it was about 60 degrees!]Blue Demon jr
told me his part in the upcoming Mil Mascaras film was a short one
and that the film has finished shooting.
So if anyone out there wants to enjoy the great lucha at Congress
Theater the next show is on January 20th.For more information call:
