When I got into sports Kirby was the athelete I followed the most. I don't know if it is because we are similarly built or it was the fact he was always smiling, but I swear I had to be the biggest Puckett fan not from Minnesotta. Before the Hurricane I had over five hundered of his cards, coins of him, procelain statues, character pennants and all his Starting Line Up Figures. I have to admit I was a little disillusioned when all that stuff came out awhile back, even though much of what was said about him was later proven to be untrue. It is weird, I feel like I lost a friend in him. Thanks for all the memories Kirby, number 34, you will always be the best center fielder to me.
