Daniel Garcia, who made the name of Huracan Ramirez an icon of lucha libre has passed away.In his time as Huracan Ramirez Garcia had notable feuds with the likes of El Santo,El Medico Asesino,El Bulldog,Ray Mendoza,El Solitario,El Enfermero and El Espanto III,these last two he wound up defeating for their masks. As Huracan Ramirez he also appeared in a number of movies starting in 1962 with EL MISTERIO DE HURACAN RAMIREZ and ending his movie career with DE SANGRE CHICANA.He was known as the Prince of Silk and Gold as he had a reputation for being a snazzy dresser. In the early 80's the copyright holders of the Huracan Ramirez name asked Garcia to step down quietly so a younger wrestler could assume the role.Daniel Garcia instead opted to retire and unmask in La Arena Mexico, insuring his successor would come off as nothing but a pretender to the throne.Amongst Garcia's lucha kin were El Matematico, who was his brother, and various nephews, some who wrestled under the name of Huracan Ramirez Jr,or Hijo de Huracan Ramirez, and even El Santo who was Huracan Ramirez's real life "compadre".More on this man's illustrious career to come shortly.

I second that idea Raul! here's been at least one book on mexican horror movies printed, so there's definitely a market, and I know darn well a book from you would have way more info.

write it anyway. there's plenty of publishers that would be interested in that sort of thing. if nothing else, just get that stuff down on paper, or something.
