What prompted me to bring up Linda Carter is because just the other night, ABC-television's PRIME-TIME LIVE featured a segment on her. Hard to believe that this lady who once played the role of TV's WONDER WOMAN is now 54 years old! The segment also included her dark side too, that is, her struggle with alcoholism. But I don't blame her, after the long tribulation she suffered when her husband David Altmann had to stand trial in court for so many months.
Even at 54 years old, she's back again, in a role for the movie SKY HIGH and the forthcoming film DUKES OF HAZARD.
Even though this section of the forum is dedicated to so-called "Babes," I find I canNot use that label for Linda Carter. That's because the word "Babe" gives me the impression of a scantily-clad female. And I feel that would somehow SHORTCHANGE Linda Carter. But that's just my viewpoint. Because ironically, although I admire her, but her role as Wonder Woman did Not appeal to me. Surprisingly, I preferred her in her Mainstream roles. So rather than calling her a babe, I prefer to call her an ELEGANT woman.

well, Wonder Woman should always be classy, so i can understand it's hard to label her as a "babe". that's why it's going to be so hard casting a new one- the right mixture of class and sexiness is hard to find- "class" is rarely a word you hear connected with Hollywood these days.

Sorry though, most only remember her for her scantily clad role as Wonder Bra-er Woman(Sorry, sophmoric humor is still funny to me). I am glad she conquered her demons. The thing that amazes me is she is one of the few actresses in Hollywood content to age gracefully. She has my respect for that as it is very refreshing. That woman has some of the most beautiful and peircing eyes ever. I agree Dave, class is scarcely used in Hollywood. I wouldn't be surprised to see a vamp like Eva Langoria or JLO get cast as Wonder Woman.

I think Linda Carter's look as Wonder Woman eventually influenced the way artists drew the character in the comics, much like some artists began to draw Superman like Christopher Reeve.

there were some nice Wonder Woman costumes this year at the Con, on many fine ladies. they really should go after an unknown when they shoot a new WW movie.
