Since it seems that the focus of Star Wars books has shifted from post-ROTJ to prequel and Galaxies stuff I needed to find some new books to read. Well, looking around I noticed 2000AD started releasing novesl with their characters. 2000AD is the weekly British comic that features the likes of Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Rogue Trooper, and my favorites by them, the A.B.C. Warriors. A.B.C. stands for Atomic, Bacterial, and Chemical. These are highly skilled war droids created years ago to wage war for the human race. They were designed to withstand almost any weaponry and condition, hence their name. Check this link for the characters in the story. www.dreamnation.fsnet.co.uk/warriors.htmlAnyhow, this novel centers around the squad's return to the planet Mars. Mars was why the Warriors were formed in the first place. It has been 2000 years since their last exploits on the planet and they are needed again. Humans that have colonized the planet have awaken the consciousness of the planet, who's name is Medusa. The ensuing conflict between the humans, and Medusa is what brings the Warriors back to the planet they tamed. The novel cuts off just as the humans have missed the deadline given to them to leave or die. It was a good, action packed book, and one I feel many of you would like.

You do know that DC has a publishing deal with IPC now, right Chad? Both Alan Moore and his daughter Leah are involved with it. Don't know if the ABC Warriors are scheduled for anything off the bat, but both Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper were in the preview flyer.

Sounds like an interesting idea, and a cool book.

Thanks Chris, that is sweet as hell. I hope so to. I hope this isn't like the last time when DC got the rights and well, Americanized Dredd.
