I picked up a Wizard mag on the cheap at Salavge place and have a ton of questions for you guys as you have kept up with comics better than me.
What exactly are Marvel's Ultimate Titles? There was lots of hype for those books in Wizard and was wondering if it is just a better quality format or just another excuse for them to put out more books.
If HaL Jordan killed all the Guardians and GLs, how is John Stewart in the JLA? I don't mean the cartoon, but the real DCU version?
What the hell is going on with Hal Jordan coming back?
How again did they bring Colossus back from the dead?
Whatever happened to Starfire?
What is the deal with the whole Identity Crisis thing? Did they kill anyone besides Sue Dibney?(I garnered that much from that Wizard)
I thought they killed the Punisher, how was he brought back to life?
Are Flash and the original Supergirl the only ones who stayed dead in comics?
Is there a new Kid Flash in comics?
Thanks guys, sorry to bother you.

i have no idea on most of those, i guess Impulse is the new "kid" Flash (the moronic one). it also looks like Kara/Supergirl is really from Krypton, so i guess she's alive as well.
Chris will have more answers.

Kara from Krypton is dead. She did appear in a storyline for BATMAN AND SUPERMAN,a cmoic which presents stories OUTSIDE of their regular continuity. In other words these are alternate reality storylines. And no story arc is neccesarily related to the one that preceeded it or the one that will follow it.
There are alot of "Alternate reality" titles floating around there in marvel and dc which makes it hard to keep track of things.

I'm not sure about Superman/Batman being out-of-continuity, Torgaman. I think a new Supergirl book is in the offing spinning out of this.
In other news :
- The Ultimate thing is another alternate universe. Some like the books a lot, but basically, it's an excuse for more titles.
-Re : GL. All I know is they are saying now that Parallax was the yellow impurity as a sentinent force. Or something, I dunno. The specifics are in the mini-series currently running, which I'm not getting. John Stewart never got killed off, and they made him a GL again when the cartoon came out. I dunno how he ended up in JLA.
-Starfire is in the current Teen Titans book, along with Bart (Impulse/Kid Flash) Allen.
-Also dead in IC (lame-o murder mystery mini) : original Firestorm (this looks as if it will already be getting undone), Time Drake's dad Jack, and Captain Boomerang.
-Uncle Ben and Bucky are still dead, but I wouldn't count on even that forever.
That's all I got.

Was Bucky actually killed? In the 60s cartoon series Captain America assumes the explosion killed Bucky, but since Cap was thrown into an iceburg and frozen for 20 years, he couldn't know that for sure.
"When Captain America throws his mighty shield..."

Marvel is scraping the bottom of the barrel. In fact the only reason they can hold their head above the water is because Hollywood came to their rescue with films like X-MEN,SPIDERMAN and CAPTAIN AMERICA.........um strike that last one out.

Wasn't there a Captain American film made several years ago?
Isn't there an Ironman film in the works?

cap's had several movies made about him- a serial, two tv movies and the one from 1989 or 90 (which i enjoy, but it is flawed).

the "scratch that last one" remark was in refernece to the 90's Cap film.
