I had asked what company was doing something with their obscoure Golden Age Heroes the other day. It is called The Twelve. It could be very good. This is the first non movie thing Marvel has done since JLA-Avengers that I am kind of hyped for. comics.ign.com/articles/808/808188p1.html

very interesting. i've NEVER heard of ANY of those characters, save for the Black Widow. i'm sure Chris might know of them.
i'm still leery of projects like this, but i will take a peak i am sure. taking even tertiary characters and dropping them into a "darker" world... well, back then, comic book characters used to smile and laugh and be a lot more well adjusted. we'll see!
of course, why bother buying the comics when they will release a TPB right after it's done.

I agree with you about the TPB. I don't know I am looking forward to it. Something kind of dawned on me though. The whole premise reminds me a little of that show 4400, you know folks disappering in the 40's only to reapper in a modern world. The only difference is these folks already had powers where Aliens gave them powers on the show. I love Golden Age characters. All Star Squadron was one of my favorite books as a kid. I like the fact that some of Marvel's forgotten pioneers are getting another chance. DC's new JSA book, what little I have seen, appears well done. It gives me hope that Marvel can handle Golden Age heroes in a modern World.

Still waiting on a collected TPB looks neat though.
