this is another adaption of Osamu Tezuka's comic, originally showing up here in the States as the wonderful "Kimba, the White Lion". it later showed up as disney's complete ripoff THE LYIN' KING, but that's a rant for another day.
this follows Leo as a grown lion, with his wife Liya and their two cubs, Rune and Rukio. Rune ends up going to the city and in a circus for a bit, and another expedition going to Mt Moon to search for a large
moonstone. there's also a "death pox" going on as well.
there's too much going on altogether. it doesn't all quite gel, but it's definately worth a look. it's a gorgeous movie to watch, very fluid animation. i miss cartoon movies!
