Next to Mazinger Z, this is my favorite Go Nagai character. DevilMan has also gone through about as many character and design changes as Batman and Godzilla over the years-including having a female counterpart-DevilMan Lady, whose series was wisely retitled THE DEVIL LADY when released on dvd here a few years back. The stuff that's always the same though-tons of violence, even on the original 70s TV series-it's more violent and bloody than other shows of the time-and the struggle of AKira Fudo to control the hellish fury and power of the demon Amon to merge them both into the new being-DevilMan, a demon with a human soul. I always wanted to see a Nagai/Marvel crossover with Devilman,Dr Strange and Ghost Rider.
