I'm sleeping And right in the middle of a good dream Then all at once I wake up From something that keeps knocking at my brain Before I go insane I hold my pillow to my head And spring up in my bed Screaming out the words I dread .... "I think I love you!" (I think I love you)
This morning, I woke up with this feeling I didn't know how to deal with And so I just decided to myself I'd hide it to myself And never talk about it And did not go and shout it When you walked into the room ..... "I think I love you!" (I think I love you)
I think I love you So what am I so afraid of? I'm afraid that I'm not sure of A love there is no cure for I think I love you Isn't that what life is made of? Though it worries me to say I've never felt this way
I don't know what I'm up against I don't know what it's all about I've go so much to think about Hey! I think I love you! So what am I so afraid of? I'm afraid that I'm not sure of A love there is no cure for I think I love you Isn't that what life is made of? Though it worries me to say I've never felt this way
Believe me You really don't have to worry I only want to make you happy And if you say Hey, go away, I will But I think better still I'd better stay around and love you Do you think I have a case? Let me ask you to your face Do you think you love me?
"I think I love you!" (I think I love you)
"I think I love you!" (I think I love you)
"I think I love you!" (I think I love you)
"I think I love you!" (I think I love you)
"I think I love you!" (I think I love you)

Have You Forgotten?
Darryl Worley & Wynn Varble
I hear people sayin' we don't need this war But I say there's some things worth fightin' for What about our freedom and this piece of ground? We didn't get to keep 'em by backin' down They say we don't realize the mess we're gettin' in Before you start your preachin' Let me ask you this my friend
Have you forgotten how it felt that day To see your homeland under fire And her people blown away? Have you forgotten when those towers fell? We had neighbors still inside Goin' through a livin' hell And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout Bin Laden Have you forgotten?
They took all the footage off my T.V. Said it's too disturbin' for you and me It'll just breed anger that's what the experts say If it was up to me I'd show it every day Some say this country's just out lookin' for a fight Well after 9/11 man I'd have to say that's right
Have you forgotten how it felt that day To see your homeland under fire And her people blown away? Have you forgotten when those towers fell? We had neighbors still inside Goin' through a livin' hell And we vowed to get the ones behind Bin Laden Have you forgotten?
I've been there with the soldiers Who've gone away to war You can bet that they remember Just what they're fightin' for
Have you forgotten all the people killed? Yeah, some went down like heroes in that Pennsylvania field Have you forgotten about our Pentagon? All the loved ones that we lost And those left to carry on Don't you tell me not to worry 'bout Bin Laden Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?

leave it to David to throw out some Partridge Family! (although I might've gone with one of my faves "I'll Meet You Halfway" ;D )
anyway here's one that i wrote for my friend's daughter. (she's only 19 months old)
STINKY FEET, STINKY FEET AND YOU'VE GOT A STINKY BUTT!
STINKY FEET, STINKY FEET AND YOU'VE GOT A STINKY BUTT! STINKY BUTT!
at the end of the song she throws her hands in the air and yells out "STINKY!"-----it's one of the most precious things i've ever seen!

I'll do better now!
Sugar Sugar ( The Archies )
Sugar, ah, honey, honey You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you Honey, ah, sugar, sugar You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you
I just can't believe the loveliness of loving you (I just can't believe it's true) I just can't believe the one to love this feeling to (I just can't believe it's true)
Ah, sugar, ah, honey, honey You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you Honey, ah, sugar, sugar You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you
When I kissed you, girl, I knew how sweet a kiss could be (I know how sweet a kiss can be) Like the summer sunshine pour your sweetness over me (Pour your sweetness over me)
Sugar, pour a little sugar on it, honey Pour a little sugar on it, baby I'm gonna make your life so sweet, yeah yeah yeah! Pour a little sugar on it oh, yeah! Pour a little sugar on it, honey Pour a little sugar on it, baby I'm gonna make your life so sweet, yeah yeah yeah! Pour a little sugar on it, honey!
Sugar, ah, honey, honey You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you Honey, ah, sugar sugar You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you
Sugar, ah, honey, honey You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you Honey, ah, sugar sugar You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you

('Til) I Kissed You The Everly Brothers
Never felt like this until I kissed ya How did I exist until I kissed ya Never had you on my mind Now you’re there all the time Never knew what I missed 'til I kissed ya, uh-huh I kissed ya, oh yeah
Things have really changed since I kissed ya, uh-huh My life’s not the same now that I kissed ya, oh yeah Mmm, ya got a way about ya Now I can’t live without ya Never knew what I missed 'til I kissed ya, uh-huh I kissed ya, oh yeah
CHORUS You don’t realize what you do to me And I didn’t realize what a kiss could be Mmm, ya got a way about ya Now I can’t live without ya Never knew what I missed 'til I kissed ya, uh-huh I kissed ya, oh yeah
Repeat CHORUS
FADE I kissed ya, uh-huh I kissed ya, oh yeah

so it's a day late...
"Cat People (Putting Out The Fire)"
See these eyes so green I can stare for a thousand years Colder than the moon It's been so long And I've been putting out fire With gasoline
Feel my blood enraged It's just the fear of losing you Don't you know my name Well, you been so long
See these eyes so red Red like jungle burning bright Those who feel me near Pull the blinds and change their minds It's been so long
Still this pulsing night A plague I call a heartbeat Just be still with me Ya wouldn't believe what I've been thru You've been so long Well it's been so long And I've been putting out fire with gasoline putting out fire with gasoline
See these tears so blue An ageless heart that can never mend These tears can never dry A judgement made can never bend See these eyes so green I can stare for a thousand years Just be still with me You wouldn't believe what I've been thru
You've been so long Well, it's been so long And I've been putting out fire with gasoline putting out fire with gasoline

''Soul Behind The Face'',Scorpions(Klaus Meine/Rudolf Schenker)
Would you care for me If I was deaf and blind Would you hear my voice If I was always quiet Would you hold my hand If I was going to fall Would you cry for me Would you know my name at all
Would you be there If I was on the ground Would you be my friend If no one was around Would you hold me close If I was in the cold Would you pray for me Would you know my name at all
Would you care Would you be there For the soul behind the face Would you love me for what I am
Would you care Would you be there For the soul behind the face Would you love me for what I am
Would you love me For what I am Would you love me For what I am Would you love me For what I am

(this has been my choice as National Anthem) America the Beautiful Words by Katharine Lee Bates, Melody by Samuel Ward
O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed his grace on thee And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet Whose stern impassioned stress A thoroughfare of freedom beat Across the wilderness! America! America! God mend thine every flaw, Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife. Who more than self their country loved And mercy more than life! America! America! May God thy gold refine Till all success be nobleness And every gain divine!
O beautiful for patriot dream That sees beyond the years Thine alabaster cities gleam Undimmed by human tears! America! America! God shed his grace on thee And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for halcyon skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties Above the enameled plain! America! America! God shed his grace on thee Till souls wax fair as earth and air And music-hearted sea!
O beautiful for pilgrims feet, Whose stem impassioned stress A thoroughfare for freedom beat Across the wilderness! America! America! God shed his grace on thee Till paths be wrought through wilds of thought By pilgrim foot and knee!
O beautiful for glory-tale Of liberating strife When once and twice, for man's avail Men lavished precious life! America! America! God shed his grace on thee Till selfish gain no longer stain The banner of the free!
O beautiful for patriot dream That sees beyond the years Thine alabaster cities gleam Undimmed by human tears! America! America! God shed his grace on thee Till nobler men keep once again Thy whiter jubilee!

The Star-Spangled Banner (our National Anthem) written by Francis Scott Key on September 14, 1814
Oh say! Can you see, by the dawns early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilights last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that Star-spangled Banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep, Where the foes haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected now shines on the stream; Tis the Star-spangled Banner, oh, long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
Oh, thus be it ever when free men shall stand Between their lov'd homes and the wars desolation! Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued-land Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserved us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto, "In God is our trust!" And the Star-spangled Banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

i like that one a lot- my real problem comes from it being SO hard to sing for us regular voiced folks. America the Beautiful can be sung by everyone (much like Ringo's songs).

Road Runner
If you're on a highway and the Road Runner goes beep beep Just step aside or you might end up in a heap (Meep Meep) Road Runner, Road Runner, runs down the road all day (Meep Meep) Even the coyote can't make him change his ways (Meep Meep)
Road Runner (Meep Meep) the coyote's after you Road Runner (Meep Meep) if he catches you you're through Road Runner (Meep Meep) the coyote's after you Road Runner (Meep Meep) if he catches you you're through
That coyote is really a crazy clown (Meep Meep) When will he learn that he never can mow him down (Meep Meep) Poor little Road Runner never bothers anyone (Meep Meep) Just running down the road is his idea of having fun
Do do Do do do do Do do (Meep Meep) Do do do do

Maybe you'll like this cartoon theme song better:
Underdog Music: W. Watts Biggers (Writer/Producer)
'There's no need to fear Underdog is here!' [Wally Cox as Underdog]
(Ooh wahoo Ooh wahoo Ooh wahoo Ooh wahoo)
When criminals in this world appear And break the laws that they should fear And frighten all who see or hear The cry goes up both far and near For Underdog, Underdog Underdog, Underdog
Speed of lightning Roar of thunder Fighting all who rob or plunder Underdog, Underdog
(Ooh wahoo Ooh wahoo Ooh wahoo Ooh wahoo)
When in this world the headlines read Of those who's hearts are full of greed Who rob and steal from those who need To right this wrong with blinding speed Goes Underdog, Underdog Underdog, Underdog
Speed of lightning Roar of thunder Fighting all who rob or plunder Underdog, Underdog Underdog

i love that one.
We are in Love (Harry Connick Jr)
I know you so well I can tell by the sound of your voice If you’re really in love with me And you are You are
You know I can’t lie If I say to you ’baby, I love you’ Then baby, I love you And I do I do
I do... could it be that’s the Phrase you thought never would phase you Well baby, you better hold on tight ’cause I’m the one who’s supposed to Kneel down and propose, well alright I might, I might
So, when I kiss you good-night Just sleep tight with the thought that you’ll Always be caught up in love with me And you’ll dream that the stars up above Have the answer of whether we’ll be Or whether we won’t be In love... Well, we are, We are

This is one of the few secular Christmas songs I like. Written about the Salvation Army bell ringers, which were every where in American cities once. I think its a same that a few miserable souls have manged to reduce their numbers. Here in Lincoln a local grocery store welcomed the bell ringers when Target banned them. I'm afraid someday people won't understand this song.
Silver Bells Jay Livingston and Ray Evans
City sidewalks, busy sidewalks Dressed in holiday style In the air There's a feeling of Christmas Children laughing People passing Meeting smile after smile And on ev'ry street corner you'll hear
Silver bells, silver bells It's Christmas time in the city Ring-a-ling, hear them sing Soon it will be Christmas day
Strings of street lights Even stop lights Blink a bright red and green As the shoppers rush home with their treasures
Hear the snow crunch See the kids bunch This is Santa's big scene And above all this bustle You'll hear Silver bells, silver bells It's Christmas time in the city Ring-a-ling, hear them sing Soon it will be Christmas day.

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch. You really are a heel. You're as cuddly as a cactus, You're as charming as an eel. Mr. Grinch.
You're a bad banana With a greasy black peel.
You're a monster, Mr. Grinch. Your heart's an empty hole. Your brain is full of spiders, You've got garlic in your soul. Mr. Grinch.
I wouldn't touch you, with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole.
You're a vile one, Mr. Grinch. You have termites in your smile. You have all the tender sweetness Of a seasick crocodile. Mr. Grinch.
Given the choice between the two of you I'd take the seasick crockodile.
You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch. You're a nasty, wasty skunk. Your heart is full of unwashed socks Your soul is full of gunk. Mr. Grinch.
The three words that best describe you, are, and I quote: "Stink. Stank. Stunk."
You're a rotter, Mr. Grinch. You're the king of sinful sots. Your heart's a dead tomato splot With moldy purple spots, Mr. Grinch.
Your soul is an apalling dump heap overflowing with the most disgraceful assortment of deplorable rubbish imaginable, Mangled up in tangled up knots.
You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch. With a nauseaus super-naus. You're a crooked jerky jockey And you drive a crooked horse. Mr. Grinch.
You're a three decker saurkraut and toadstool sandwich With arsenic sauce. d21c.com/AnnesPlace/Xmas2/Grinch.Gif [/img]

although i haven't heard this version... Brown Julie Lyrics
I'm A Blonde Lyrics
Because I'm a blonde, I don't have to think. I talk like a baby, and I [don't] pay for drinks. Never have to worry 'bout gettin['] a man [As long as I] keep this blond and I keep these tan, 'Cause I'm a blonde, yeah, yeah, yeah. 'Cause I'm a blonde, yeah, yeah, yeah. I see people working and it only makes me giggle 'Cause I don't have to work; I just have to [j]iggle. I'm a blonde, B-L-O-N-D[-E]. I'm a blonde; don't you wish you were me? I never learned to read, and I never learned to cook. Why should I bother when I look like I look? I know lots of people are smarter than me, But I have this philosophy: So what? I'm a blonde, yeah, yeah, yeah. I see girls without dates, and I feel so sorry for 'em, 'Cause whenever I'm around, all the men ignore 'em, 'Cause I'm a blonde, nyah, nyah, nyah. 'Cause I'm a blonde, nyah, nyah, nyah. They say that to make it, you need talent and ambition. Well, I got a TV show, and this was my audition: Umm ... okay ... what was it? ... umm ... Don't tell me ... Oh, yeah, okay. [Duck], Magnum, [duck]! 'Cause I'm a blonde, yeah, yeah, yeah. 'Cause I'm a blonde, yeah, yeah, yeah. I took a VD test, and I passed it, of course. I can't spell VW, but I got a Porsche, 'Cause I'm a blonde, B-L-[O]-N-D[-E]. I'm a blonde; don't you wish you were me? I just want to say that being chosen this month's Miss August Is, like, a compliment that I'll remember for as long as I can. Right now I'm a freshman in my fourth year at UCLA, And my goal is to become a vetrinarian [']cause I love children. 'Cause I'm a blonde, yeah, yeah, yeah. 'Cause I'm a blonde, yeah, yeah, yeah. Other girls think I'm snotty, and maybe it's true. With my hair and body, you would be too. I'm a blonde, B-L- ... I don't know! 'Cause I'm a blonde, yeah, yeah, yeah. 'Cause I'm a blonde, yeah, yeah, yeah!
Note: The brackets contain the correct lyrics. except i thought it was a I.Q. test, and she flunked it, of course...)
IT IS! i just listened to the song again. i think some jealous brunette wrote these out...
