I am starting to get a little nervous. I lost everything in Katrina, but counted myself lucky because I lost no loved ones. While I lost things, they can't take away the memories I have which keeps me sane. It isn't even the idea of losing everything again, because we will take the irreplaceable stuff this time and you can't take possessions when you die. It is more that this is my home and I am proud to be from here. It scares me to know that should we get devastated again many people will not come back this time. I love it here, as I said this is home. I was away from it so much when Dad was in the Air Force. I am happy to be home, it is indeed sweet. I am not saying I would never move from here but I am not the type to move just for a change of scenery. That decision may be made for me this time. My first priority is making sure my kids will be alright. Just waiting to see where Gustav goes is hard.

Yay now we get to spend all week watching Ike. I will say this much about Hurricanes, unlike many natural disasters at least we get warning to get the hell out of Dodge.
