That is very sad news indeed. Uncle Forry had such a huge impact on thousands of us monster kids for the past 50 years. He will be greatly missed

God Bless You, Uncle Forry.
Like so many, my life would not have been the same without FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND. Though I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, I will always cherish the phone conversation we had earlier this decade. I am deeply saddened with his passing, but am comforted thinking about all the love heaven will surely bestow upon him. His legacy remains.

I have received the sad news that our favorite uncle Forrest J Ackerman has passed away.He is best remembered for single handedly creating the fanzine craze with his mag FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND insuring the classic monsters [and some not so classic] would live on forever. RIP.
