I found this to be a rather amazing movie. Filmed in Finland and China it's the story of a legendary warrior and his battle with a demon. The battle continues through the reincarnated spirit of the warrior in modern Finland as the demon is let loose.
This isn't a special effects extravaganza or a major wuxia action movie. It's actually a rather quiet, introspective and tragic love story that takes place both in medieval China and modern times. The sledgehammer fight at the end is pretty sweet.
We've all watched those movies where a woman is trying to kick the hero's ass and his incredible skill wins her over and they fall in love. They have one of those scenes in this but rather than being stupid, gaudy or banal, this is really well handled. The whole fight scene is rather romantic in the way it is filmed and choreographed.
