I just used the number since no one can agree on what the actual English title is.
it's a decent movie, but so overrated by most fans it's not funny. and if you dare say that to some of them, well, they get almost apoplectic and say all sorts of bad things.
there's a good movie in here, but there are too many characters and it's a bit too long.

I never understood the two government agents. Were they evil? It seems so yet the heroines willingly go with them at the end.

It would have been more interesting (for me, at least) had they followed the Gamera, multiple Gyaos storyline rather than focus on the Iris creature. I had now grown weary of all mysticism involved in these movies.
The film has great special effects, and while Iris looked impressive, it really didn’t do much else for me.
Believe me, I really liked this Gamera series (it was a breath of fresh air when compared with the Heisei Godzilla pictures), but I just thought this movie was the weakest of the bunch.
