I don't know what's going on. One day I can use Windows Media Player to get screen captures from DVDs then the next day I just get black images. I don't understand it because I haven't changed anything. I've tried a couple of screen capture programs but the same thing happens. They work the first time but when I try again later they don't. I tried several times to download PowerDVD which is supposed to have built in screen capturing but there download site keeps ending the download after only 656 K out of 49 M.

I believe that those screencaptures are only a "Sample" of sorts as the same thing has happened to me.I'm betting to be able to get the screen caputres they want you to pay for another program.POWERDVD is the best bet for screencaps though seeing as how you are having difficulty downloading it you might consider buying an actual cd program to install it on your computer.

Media Player Classic (which is a lot like Windows Media Player 6) seems to work and a lot smaller then Power DVD seems to work for screen capturing. I'll see if its still working tomorrow.
