I don't know why but they'll screen this film at G-FEST late at night when most kids will be asleep. If kids are the intended target audience why would they screen the film so late?

i'm sure there's a couple reasons like a. PIRATES 2 is a long ass movie and b. all the g-nerds will go anyway, so they can see it before they buy the boot.

I would have thought that since J.D. runs a "Family friendly" convention he would've screened the film at an earlier hour so the kiddies could enjoy it.If anyone knows him please pass that advice along. Why alienate the target demograph?

members, i agree , it is not as dark or chilling as guardian, legion or iris, however, still a great deal of fun . --ralph g

I quite liked this movie-I liked it alot more than any of the Kaneko Gameras, because it was much closer in spirit to the Gamera of the Showa films-the REAL Gamera! I like the showa Gameras so much more than the "dark" and "edgy" Kaneko movies with their lousy "monster" designs (they look like refuges from anime, not true kaiju!) and frankly boring "action" (GAMERA 3 especially-that movie puts me to sleep). It's too bad this didn't do well at the box office as I would love to see a new Gamera series continue in this vein and follow Toto/Gamera as he grows up.

Red, I really liked the Kaneko Gameras, but have to agree on some of the monster designs. Iris I think is the worst offender in that catagory. The Gaos in GGOTU I thought were some of the better realized kaiju I've seen on screen. Not exactly because of the effects, but the way they are presented very animalistically. I think that made them seem much more "out there" and threatening.

i thought Legion worked a lot better onscreen than the pictures would have indicated. i think i like the first K Gamera movie the best, G3 is way to highly thought of for this fanboy!
i still have to watch this movie completely.
