apparently it's Gorgo-Fan this issue, with a cool Gorgo and mom cover. so odd to not see Godzilla or Gamera on the cover. can Ultraman be far behind?
anyway, a decent read, lots of G-Fest interviews and another long Peter Brothers review- this time of "The Mysterians" which is OK, although i would think everyone is quite familiar with the plot that a filmbook style is not needed.
there's even a quote from Mr. Chris Elam!

I cancelled my subscription to G-Fan awhile ago, because I felt that it was getting weak. There wasn't anything that was really interesting, save for a couple Peter H. Brothers articles (G vs. The Thing, Rodan, and both Varan retro's). And on top of all that, they really sold-out to Toho, when they adopted the policy of only using the Toho-approved interntaional titles for the Godzilla movies, almost as if the version we grew up loving didn't even exist. And, ON TOP OF THAT, my favorite part of the whole friggin' magazine, Skip Peel's "Diary of Dr. Rex Summeral" was practically nutered when all Toho characters were stripped from the fan-fiction section. I still have respect for JD Lees, but I feel that G-Fan isn't the "fanzine" it once was, which from what I've been hearing, is probably because of how hectic the man's schedule is as of late. Perfectly understandable.
Anyway, it's probably been something like two years since I received a new G-Fan, so how it is these days?
