John Carradine ... Dr. John Rayburn Momoko Kôchi ... The Girl Akira Takarada ... The Boy Akemi Negishi ... The Mountain Girl Russell Thorson ... Prof. Philip Osborne Robert Karnes ... Prof. Alan Templeton Sachio Sakai ... Third Member of Ski Party Nobuo Nakamura ... Prof. Tanaka Kokuten Kodo ... Old Tribe Leader Morris Ankrum ... Dr. Carl Jordan
a movie i have not seen in years, since it so boring. i'm sure the Japanese version is much better, but since that is not gonna be released any time soon, we have to do with this one.
the monster is cool. mostly it's about two US scientists sitting around discussing the events. it's 63 minutes long.
there's a bit of stop-motion in here, i'd like to see all of it.

I watched this movie in the fourth of fifth grade. However, I found it so boring that I never again tried to watch it. I ended up selling it several years ago.

Definitely a snoozefest! The monster scenes are quite well done and the monster's design is definitely off beat-he is balding and slightly paunchy like an old man. It's really too bad Toho will not release their version of this movie as I bet it's good. There are some neat photos taken behind the scenes at Toho of the Half Human Yeti fighting with the GIGANTIS Godzilla! I wonder if this round of gag photos was the inspiration for KING KONG VS GODZILLA? Toho sent the suit of the child creature to the US for the scenes filmed over here. It's also too bad the US footage is so dull as it wastes 2 great b movie actors-John carradine and Morris Ankrum( who always played ewither generals or scientists much like Jun Tazaki in Toho's fims).

It's too bad that most people cannot see the original Japanese version in order to evaluate the film in its proper context.

Usually, I'd say I am satisfied with the American version and the fact of watching the Japanese version would be nice thing to see one of these days.
Not here. I really, really wish I could see the Japanese edition!
For me, the only interest (albeit very slightly) of "Half-Human" is the casting of John Carradine, which makes him the only actor to appear in kaiju and a Universal horror flick(s) and Morris Ankrum, who appeared in better sci-fi films throughout the 50s, and making him the only actor to appear in a Ray Harryhausen movie (Earth vs. The Flying Saucers) and a kaiju.

I never thought of that about Carradine-Carradine is actually the only actor to have been in a kaiju movie, classic universal horror AND a Mexican lucha hero movie, actually he was in 2, both with Mil Mascaras-LAS VAMPIRAS where he was a vampire and ENIGMA DE LA MUERTE as a Nazi!
