Peter Dyneley ... Larry Stanford Jane Hylton ... Linda Stanford Tetsu Nakamura ... Dr. Robert Suzuki (as Satoshi Nakamura) Terri Zimmern ... Tara Norman Van Hawley ... Ian Matthews (as Van Hawley) Jerry Ito ... Police Supt. Aida Toyoko Takechi ... Emiko Suzuki Kenzo Kuroki Alan Tarlton ... Dr. H.B. Jennsen Shinpei Takagi George Wyman
this is one creep and unusual movie. watch it late at night and it will stick with you for quite some time.
nice to see the late Jerry Ito in this. he's still smarmy in this role, and he's a good guy!

I think this is one of the horror films I saw as a kid on our local version of Creature Feature (out of Omaha).
When us three kids were allowed to spend Saturday nights with my mother's older sister Artis, she would promise mom that she'd make us go to sleep early. Then my aunt would let us stay up to watch Creature Feature. My cousin David did a good imitation of the host.

Absolutely love THE MANSTER. I just watched it again last weekend (the Alpha DVD which ain't bad). This movie has so many great scenes and ideas - the gruesome effects [the eye], the 2 heads, the split, etc], acting, plot, locations - and that superb chase music later on.

Oh yeah I've seen him on youtube though mostly just out-takes and bloopers from his show, including a rare promo he did with Jerry Lewis for the telethon.

Unsual movie. Sort of takes that Jeckyll and Hyde story and turns it into a two-headed creature film! Great to see Jerry Ito here playing a good guy. And I loved how they showed the split at the end. Low-budget yes, but also resourceful.

it's quite effective, the split is! having just watched it, i was struck by a lot of the cinematography. they sure made it creepy by using shadows and suggestion- way more than they could have just using prosthetics or cg nonsense.
