Yosuke Natsuki ... Inspector Kommei Yôko Fujiyama ... Masayo Hiroshi Koizumi ... Kirino Nobuo Nakamura ... Dr. Munakata Robert Dunham ... Mark Jackson (as Dan Yuma) Akiko Wakabayashi ... Gangster Moll Jun Tazaki ... Chief Inspector Susumu Fujita ... General Iwasa Seizaburô Kawazu ... Gangster Boss Eisei Amamoto ... Eiji the Safecracker Haruya Kato ... Sabu the Small Fry Yoshifumi Tajima ... Gangster Nadao Kirino ... Gangster Akira Wakamatsu ... Gangster Hironobu Wakamoto ... Nitta
another fun weird movie that until 3 years ago no one would believe it would be available on R1 DVD with both subs and original dub we all heard back in the day.
a strange space spore keeps interrupting some jewel thieves as they try to steal diamonds. diamond G-Man Mark Jackson is on their trail. the spore mutates into a very cool jellyfish creature.
Akiko is the hottest moll i've ever seen.

I've only seen the film once as a kid and I remembered being bored by it.And I kept saying to myself as a kid "How can a Japanese monster movie be boring?!?!?!?!"

For years, I had a bad VHS copy. I didn't fully appreciate this movie until I got the DVD and saw the monster Dogara in all it's splendor!
Yes, Akiko is quite easy on the eyes. And of course, this is Robert Dunham's movie! "I'm what you call, a diamond G-man!"
I do feel sorry for the diamond thieves at the end though. Oh well, they were bad guys anyway! ;D

it's true, it's not the most exciting monster movie, but as a gangster/spy movie with a monster thrown in, it's pretty good. there's even a tie up the good guys and leave them in an easily escapable trap thrown in to make it complete!

Sorry but in my opinion for a daikaiju movie to be considered good it has got to have alot of daikaiju in it!!!Give me WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS,MOTHRA,even VARAN any day over this movie.

Hey!! Why all the Space-cell hatin' This film was on ALOT when I was a kid (Usually Saturday afternoons hosted by Son of Sevengoolie) and I watched it everytime it was shown. I guess that makes me go way back with Dagorah. (Yeah .... DAGORAH!! I SPELLED IT LIKE THAT ON PURPOSE!) I agree that it's nort the most exciting Toho monster movie but I would pick this movie over any new Hollywwod flick everytime and that's gotta say something.

I also saw it on SON OF SVENGOOLIE and I have to say Sven aired alot better Kaiju films than this:DESTROY ALL MONSTERS,GODZILLA VS THE SMOG MONSTER,YOG MONSTER FROM SPACE,VOYAGE INTO SPACE,YONGARY,WAR OF THE MONSTERS,RETURN OF THE GIANT MONSTERS,DESTROY ALL PLANETS,GAMERA VS MONSTER X,GAMERA SUPERMONSTER,and the MAGIC SERPENT are the better kaiju films I remember enjoying on SON OF SVENGOOLIE.One of the main reasons I watched Sven was for Japanese giant monsters [thanks to channel 44 I also enjoyed Spectreman,Ultraman,Space Giants and Johnny Socko].However Dagorah left me with nothing the other films left me.In fact I was wondering why Sven had even aired the film as it barely constitutes a giant monster film.It was just a waste of time. What next,a Santo film with no Santo in it?

that would be FRONTIER OF TERROR, a movie far more boring than DAGORA! or many of the 70s movies- Television Killer, maybe?

Actually SANTO FACES DEATH is the film that actually DARED TO HAVE A SKINNY FART PASS HIMSELF OFF AS SANTO THROUGHOUT MOST OF THE MOVIE!!!!
Santo vs the TV Killer probably ranks up there with DAGORA in my opinion as missed opportuntiy.FRONTERA DEL TERROR is slightly better than these two films because the last thrity minutes do give us some Santo action. Not very good Santo action but at least something happens.

Wow sorry for all the Typo's in my last message. I am really tired alot lately. Yeah, so anyway Channel 44 !!! Gee Torgaman that can only mean that you grew up here in Chicago with me and all the other Windy City Monster kids!! AWESOME! Found another one. Yes, Son of Svengoolie DID play better Toho flicks than Dagorah, but he always had fun with this one and in turn so did I. I stand behind it as one interesting Monster movie1 And Akiko Wakabayashi ..... BOING !!!!

i think it's a fun spy flick with a monster thrown in. how many times have we watched something and thought "boy, this would be a lot better with a monster or a superhero in it"?
