Godzilla 3-D To The Max

I finally heard some news on this Imax flick . I guess it really is being made and will get a release over here! They upped the budget considerably, something like from 9 million to 20 million i think and changed the location of the final battle from NYC to Las Vegas. Godzilla and Deathlah will also tangle in Mexico along the way (How cool would it be to give Santo a cameo here?!). Here's a link to an advance poster. looks cool. I doubt they'll actually be using the GxMG version of Godzilla though. I'd like to see a new version of the 68-72 suit in fitting tribute to the film that inspired this one and director Banno himself. Now if they can get Riichiro Manabe to do a new updated version of the SMOG MONSTER score for the movie, that would be sweet!

Yes, I know. The name really stinks. I was hoping the monster would actually be Hedorah himself and not a new off shoot monster. It would make up for hedorah getting such a lousy "part" in GFW. His 10 seconds of screen time in FINAL WARS surely couldn't have justified the cost of building the suit!

Eech! That movie smells like disaster written all over.

GODZILLA VS THE SMOG MONSTER sucked because:

1. Musical Numbers
2. Cartoon interruptions
3. Poetry
4. Avant Garde
5. Flying Godzilla
6. Noisest scene in movie history

If they are going to make a Godzilla film, they better do it right by dropping out all stuff I have written above.

And if they don't, let J-Pop band Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi provide the songs and Sam Register (who made the cartoon based on those girls) with the flash-animated cartoons.

It is going to be like Fred Astaire and Ginger Roger dancing together.
