I think it will be more of a look on his rather long career as the reigning king of giant monster movies.

well, it was pretty good, all in all. not enough Megalon and too much GMK but all in all a nice doc. no mention of BOC's song, or Bambi meeting Godzilla, or Ultraman, but most of the other stuff was covered. i DVD'd it, so i'll make some copies ere long.

I thought the first 20 minutes were really strong and then it seemed to peter out to sort of repetitive stuff about merchandise. It was strange that most the footage was pre-70s stuff. Tony Timponi from Fangoria needs to be kicked in the nuts for every time he said "Godziller".

How much cow manure was spewed when we saw the TRISTAR people[Devlin,Broderick,I think Satan too]started saying they were "big Godzilla fans"?It took me all night to shovel it out of my living room that's for sure.

those were all clips from their crappy movie promos, not like they were interviewed again for this.
anyone else notice they used a sound clip from the Smog Monster trailer over Ebirah? this show really could have gone another hour and not been too much for viewers. i mean, i don't care if they didn't mention the 90s movies, but they really glossed over a lot of the movies.
but for 44 minutes it's quite nice. i'd like to see a Gamera one done the same way now.

Yes let's rip the ANIMAL PLANET a new bodily orrifice for using the soundtrack to GOJIRA TAI HEDORAH over GOJIRA TAI EBIRAH.
And they actually said Toho tried to keep the public in suspense over what the "Thing" was. This was actually the american distributor since Toho never hid the fact it was going to square off it's two most popular monsters.
