wish i could say that i'm enjoying my b-day today, but unfortunately my ex girlfiend (and still my BEST friend in the world----some of you may remember her few xeno posts as "Gertzilla") was in a very serious car accident yesterday in Mississpi. she has a broken nose a crushed eye socket broken cheek bone (five total breaks on her skull) ingested glass, lacerations on her eyes and various other cuts and fractures. she goes in for reconstructive surgery today. she's facing the possibilty of losing her sight and her hearing. i'm just plain numbed.

thanks for all the kind words, guys.it helps me to deal with everything. it happened in Greenville, but she was taken to a hospital in Vicksburg. i'm awaiting word from her parents (who flew down there as soon as they heard) to find out how her surgery is going/went.

well----she's out of the hospital but has to go back three times a week for some sort of therapy, and she now has two metal plates in her head. there's also some question as to whether or not she'll regain her vision in her left eye. but---she's a trooper and she's handling everything remamrably well. she says to say thanks for all the support.

If she still has some vision and her life, I consider that a triumph. Glad to hear she is recovering.

sometimes we need answers, and sometimes it's just fun to see what we were talking about a while ago.
