We had to bury my Father In Law today. He was a wicked cool guy and feel like I lost a friend instead of an In Law. It has been a hard week on the family. My kids took it pretty hard as they were close with their Paw Paw Jim. I had gotten him a Joe Horn Saints Jersey and my Mother In Law put it in his casket with him because he wore it all the time. I could talk to this man for hours about religion, music, sports, wrestling, movies, books, but the thing he talked about most was his family. The guy was a card. He listened to all kinds of music, I have yet to meet another 50 year old with such ecclectic tastes that they'd listen to Snoop Dogg to Zeplin to Floyd to Bob Marley to Hank Williams Sr. to Ludacris to Marvin Gaye. He was a good guy and I miss him very much.

Thanks Megs. I tell you it was hard to be nice to all the jerks that never made time for him or had a nice thing to say when he was here carry on so much. I had to be peace keeper because my Mother In Law was getting mad with Jim's Ex Wife. She was trying to dominate the proceedings and I had to tactfully remind her she divorced him and unless she wanted to help pay for the funeral she needed to grieve and pay her respcects without carrying on like she was still his Wife. I hate junk like that, I wish folks could make nice and truth be told my Mother In Law made nice right up until the end. This lady Sue is an attention sleeper and while I respect her right to grieve and be upset the manner in which she did it made it less about paying respect to Jim and was moire about getting all eyes on her.
Oh well, dysfunctional familes rule!
