Title says it all. I hope you all have a safe, prosperous, fufilling, and safe 2005! I was just thinking it is nice to be able to wish holiday wishes without having to worry about religion and then it dawned on me. It isn't Chineese New Year. Oh well, hope you guys aren't too hung over this morning!

Last night a neighbor was setting off fireworks. Back in the 70s that was the big thing for Chinese New Year in Hawaii.

we had some fireworks, or firecrackers going off last night as well. out here due to the large Asian population we get a good Chinese New Year as well.
it's been a quiet day today, though.

May 2005 bring nothing but GREAT things to all my friends here at the board! I heard fireworks being set off at midnight as well as the traditional guns being fired skyward, but it's been quiet(not to mention NIIIICE;we're at around 65 degrees right now-NOT BAD for January 1st on Delmarva...) (shakes head cynically)
I'll bet the Delmarvan Demons are REAL happy about the warm weather, knowing them.

It is a chilly and potentially rainy 60 degrees here in Los Angeles! Ooooooo, shiver. Well, at least the little bushytailed chitterbuggers aren't out.

Thanks for the link,Amp-FUN read! We've tons of squirrels in the immediate vicinity, but most appear a uniform gray in color though I'm sure some Delmarva Demons are mixed into the throng...Oh,I'll DEFINITELY take yesterday's temps compared to what we had Christmas Day:low 30's with a very muchCIOUS wind a-blowin'.

Most of the squirrels in this part of the country are reddish brown. There are also a minority of black squirrels which are ganged up on and chased away by the brown ones.
How the squirrels in Lincoln react to humans depends on which part of town you're in. In the older parts of town the squirrels are used to humans and some people have been able to hand them food. In the newer parts of town (new meaning under 20 years) the squirrels don't yet trust humans anough to get that near. They will however get close enough to houses to steal food from bird feeders.
