Megs, the current background looks very familiar. Would that be Bronson Canyon? The locale of ROBOT MONSTER, IT CONQUERED THE WORLD, etc, etc? If it is, did you actually visit it?

yep, that is the place! i've several more pictures of it from when i visited before Christmas. pretty cool, huh? you'd think it was a huge place from the movies, but it's not really.
the park really needs a plaque and to be upgraded a bit. you'd never know the place was there from the entrance.

That is so awesome! I can still see RO-MAN emerging from there cause it hasn't changed a bit. It must have been really cool to see it in person. If you can, please post some more pics of the area.

Man that is freakin cool! I'd love to visit Bronson Canyon someday..and wear a gorilla suit with a diving helmet while there! ;D They must have thrown a tarp over the back opening in the movies because it always looks like a cave, especially in ROBOT MONSTER. Did you see any strange bubbles floating in the air when you were there? Foolish Hu-Man!

nope, no bubbles, but we had just watched ROBOT MONSTER before we visited. i'll post some more pictures in the near future. you'd be surprised at how small the place really is. Hollywood really is the land of lies!
but it's a great place to visit and know the history. plus a good little walk/hike!
