James Franciscus ... Tuck Kirby Gila Golan ... T.J. Breckenridge Richard Carlson ... Champ Connors Laurence Naismith ... Prof. Horace Bromley Freda Jackson ... Tia Zorina Gustavo Rojo ... Carlos dos Orsos Dennis Kilbane ... Rowdy Mario De Barros ... Bean Curtis Arden ... Lope
and, as the credits say, Gwangi himself!
i love this movie, always have. i had the coloring book of it when i was a kid, long before i ever saw the movie. i think it's one of Ray's more underrated movies overall.

One of my favorites of course, otherwise I wouldn't have the namesake!! Like all of Ray's creations, Gwangi was certainly a performer! Just look at the climax in the cathedral. Jerome Moross' theme is actually my favorite in any Harryhausen picture, and of course Ray had some great composers and great scores in many of his features. This one strikes a cord with me, just a little more, however. I only wish they wouldn't have dubbed Gila Golan though. Seeing her in "Our Man Flint" and "Ship of Fools", her accent sounded exotic enough to fit in with this film! Remakers, keep your filthy hands off of this movie!

My one complaint is it takes too long for Gwangi to show up in the movie. They could have also done without the Gypsie subplot though I'm guessing they did it to have an excuse for the title.

I remember seeing this at the drive in as a kid when it first came out. I think it was a double feature with The Lost Continent. I had the coloring book too.

I had that comic book forever, long before I ever saw the movie. if I remember correctly, they leave out Gwangi's rather gruesome death in it though.

Yes 5 million old people can't be wrong! Eohippus is the perfect hip replacement for when your real hips go south on you and you can no longer get up off the toilet! See your doctor to find out if Eohippus is right for you.
