The 3rd Annual SHOCK IT TO ME! is proud to announce our third Guest of Honor, Horror Host and Author JOHN STANLEY! If you grew up in Northern California in the '70s and '80s, you most certainly will remember the incredibly popular weekly horror movie show, "Creature Features" (1971-84), broadcast on KTVU Channel 2, hosted by Bob Wilkins and John Stanley. John is perhaps best known for his series of "Creature Feature Movie Guides," of which Fangoria called the author, "The Leonard Maltin of Horror." After attending the first SHOCK IT TO ME! in 2005, John returns to join this year's guest line-up, actress Veronica Carlson (DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE) and director Joe Dante (THE HOWLING), to meet with fans, interview our Guests of Honor on stage, and to bask in the glory of his new magnum opus, "I Was a TV Horror Host," a detailed behind-the-scenes look at his journey on "Creature Features." As the legendary Ray Bradbury so aptly put it, "Everybody should read this book! EVERYBODY!"
In addition to our Guests of Honor and Dealer's Room, SHOCK IT TO ME! will be screening twelve terrifying feature films which will be screened during this year's shocking show on October 5th, 6th & 7th! Dates and show times of these films to be announced -- with two more frightening flicks forthcoming!
JUST ADDED! Roman Polanski's ROSEMARY'S BABY (1968)! PLUS! An all-day JOE DANTE RETROSPECTIVE featuring a special family matinee double-feature of MATINEE (1993) and GREMLINS 2 (1990), the day concludes with a spooktacular evening screening of THE HOWLING (1981) coupled a surprise co-feature hand-picked by Dante himself -- along with trailers and other madness -- with the director LIVE! ON STAGE!
